So rather than detecting leaks, Sonic is there to detect unusual water usage, which typically means there could be a leak.

We’ll reach out first of all via the app. You can choose to resolve the incident in the app if you don’t need to receive further alerts.

If you don’t resolve the incident, and it’s seen as “high risk”, you’ll also receive up to three phone calls (if you don't respond).

After the third unanswered call, we will initiate an auto shutoff and stop your water as a precautionary measure.

This will give you time to call a plumber to investigate.

!! When Offline !!

If you don't have internet connectivity, Sonic Wi-Fi (not applicable to Sonic Pro) will still stop the water whenever it detects unusual water activity, but you will not receive notifications about this until you're back online.
